WHat we do
We are all about helping young people, families, and communities grow stronger. We do this by offering support, hosting events, connecting families with community resources, and providing services all at NO cost. Our goal is to give youth and families the tools and support they need to make positive choices ultimately reducing criminal behaviour and fostering a safer community for all.
HOW IT WORKS
Referrals can be made here for youth or their families who could benefit from extra support. Once a referral is received, we reach out and connect them with one of our Youth & Family Empowerment Workers, ensuring a personalized match based on their unique needs.
Our team works collaboratively with youth, families, and community partners to build an individualized action plan. This may include increasing access to positive, pro-social activities like physical activity, life readiness skills and creative endeavours. We also focus on reducing exposure to risk factors such as school disengagement, lack of positive coping skills and limited access to safe spaces. Support for families can include helping parents navigate challenges around accessing community resources, setting boundaries, and managing challenging behaviour
Empowerment Workers meet one-on-one with clients regularly — either weekly or bi-weekly — depending on what works best for the family. Transportation support is available if needed.
Through consistent connection and intentional support, we help create stronger foundations and contribute to building safer, more connected communities for everyone.
